February 2002 Project Updates

Exhaust component buys
I am trying to get the necessary components lined up to upgrade the complete exhaust system.  Thus far I have purchased:

• Header kit 186V (1-3/4" to 1-7/8" stepped primaries) from Schoenfeld Headers designed for a G-body SBC which I will adapt the tubes to fit the LS1 exhaust flange.
• 3" tailpipes with the behind rear wheel (GN/TR) exit from Torque Tech Inc.
• 3" diameter DynoMax Super Turbo Mufflers model #17792
• I ordered a pair of P/N C-PM178 parallel merge collectors from S&S Headers Inc. and am waiting to receive these so that I can weld up the header kit.  Hopefully these will be available by mid-March.

LS1_Edit Software
I finally received a beta version of this software manufactured by Carputing LLC at the end of this month so that now I can delete my trouble codes and begin fine tuning the overall set-up.  I will begin experimentation here immediately!
